Currently, he is the Interim Assistant Superintendent here at Basehor-Linwood School District, and he previously served as the North Ottawa County Superintendent in Minneapolis, Kansas, for 10 years. He served as Pike Valley Superintendent and High School Principal in north central Kansas for six years prior to his tenure at North Ottawa County, and before that held other administrative, teaching, tech, and coaching positions within the Pike Valley School District.
“We are thrilled to announce Mr. Vignery as the new Basehor-Linwood School District superintendent,” President Dayna Miller said. “His proven leadership and his vision for the future of our district make him the ideal choice to lead our district forward. We are confident that under his guidance, our schools will continue to thrive, inspiring excellence and opportunity for each student.”
Vignery was appointed Interim Assistant Superintendent last July after the previous Assistant Superintendent, Sherry Reeves, was moved to the Interim Superintendent position. Reeves will retire on June 30, 2025, after 19 years with the district. Vignery has worked tirelessly during his tenure to analyze, streamline, and prioritize spending, and has set a course to a balanced and sustainable budget for our district.
“I’m extremely excited and honored to be given the opportunity to serve as superintendent of this incredible school district,” Vignery said. “I look forward to working alongside our dedicated staff, families, and communities to build on the district’s successes and ensure every student has the opportunity to develop and reach their full potential.”
